Job Opening: Communications Manager, Minnesota Catholic Conference

 

The Minnesota Catholic Conference (MCC), the public policy voice of the Catholic Church in Minnesota, is seeking a Communications Manager to support the mission of MCC, which is to assist the Catholic bishops of Minnesota in their social ministry; help form and activate lay Catholics as faithful citizens; and represent the Catholic Church in Minnesota to state and federal policy makers.

 

The Communications Manager assists with the development and implementation of all MCC communications activities, which includes overseeing the production of print, digital, and web content, as well as the execution of other communications-related functions as needed, such as event planning, media relations, parish outreach initiatives, and lobbying strategies.

 

Job requirements include: a bachelor’s degree in communications or related field; a minimum of two years relevant experience; strong writing skills; and an evangelical and entrepreneurial spirit. Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge of and a commitment to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and be a practicing Catholic in good standing. Expertise in visual design and social media communications strongly preferred. Basic video production and editing skills a plus.
