Prayer Service for Life

Bishop Quinn will preside at the annual Prayer Service for Life this year in Fairmont, at St. John Vianney Parish, on Sunday, January 27, 2019. All are invited to come and pray for a greater respect for the dignity of all human life. The service will begin at 5:00 pm and all are welcome to a meal afterwards beginning at 6:00 pm, provided by Hope Café. St. John Vianney Parish started Hope Café almost four years ago to meet a need in the community, a free hot meal to anyone who is hungry, for Jesus said, “I was hungry and you gave me food” (Mt. 25:35). How do we define “hungry?” Besides a physical hunger, another hunger, and one which all people crave, is community. Hope Café offers hospitality to those who are lonely or find it difficult to get a good healthy meal, especially those who live alone or who may not know where their next meal is coming from. Please join those at Hope Café and their guests to share a meal together.
